This program will introduce students to the concepts, principles and tools required to bring 3D animation to life. Focusing on the 12 principles of animation and building on industry standard tools, students will experience a professional environment to learn the skills necessary to create 3D animation.

Students will begin to explore the principles of animation as they bounce a ball on screen, create an animated walk cycle and learn to have characters “act” out their ideas. Students will learn best practices in software manipulation, file organization and animation workflows. They will learn to create clear animation poses that best convey the story they are trying to tell through motion. Each student will work through animation exercises, which will culminate in a body of work suitable for a student’s demo reel.

Participants should bring their own laptops. For those without the means to have one, we are trying to raise funds to have a few available for use at the camp. Please let us know when registering.
